Call of Duty 4 Patch 1.4

DESCRIPTION:

This is the release of the v1.4 Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare™ patch by Infinity Ward.

CHANGES:

"Winter Crash", a holiday version of Multiplayer map "Crash"
Improvements to the server browser
Fixed some rare bullet accuracy issues for all weapons.
For server admins: fixed user ban list not working correctly on servers. Ban.txt will be created in the main or fs_game directory

MOD SUPPORT:

In the connect screen, Mods will be identified as"Mod: [mod name]"
Only official IWD files will be read from the main directory. All custom IWD should be placed in a mod directory.
Fix for reloading several times after connecting to a modded server
Improved mod.ff support to allow adding game types.
Fixed an issue with Http redirect downloads.
"fs_game" will be forced to lower case

Download the file below
Run the installer and make sure its pointed to the installation folder for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare™

cant seem to update it keeps saying i dont have a valid install
anyone else having this or is there a solution?

My mistake, the patch turned off the console on my systems. Just had to turn it back on.

Are you trying to use the EXE to update your Server to 1.4?

Where is your COD4 located? c:\COD4 or something like this?

Are you using a ZIP to update your server with? Where did you download the Patch from?

hi,i loaded the 1.4 pach and : code_post_gfx_mp.ff is different from the server an error :cry:

If you have a linux server,
I think You need to upload additionnal files from Zone/"your language" and from main to your server.

From Zone/"your language"

I have downoaded the patch from the link on this site
i also saved it to desktop on our windows server when i run it the set up say can not find a valid install of cod4 when i browse to where cod 4 is on the server it says still not valid install.
the cod4 folder is C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare(TM)"

any ideas?

Dont know whats happening but getting this message now

Error during initialization:
No IWD files found in /main

all files are there
