Better looking modern weapons
« on: April 24, 2008, 01:55:06 pm »
Hi,

I just like to suggest some better modern weapons for the upcoming v2.4 of extreme+

Most of the models in v2.4 are taken from the "gforce" mod for call of duty 2.
So i wanted to suggest that you get other models. I am currently working on modern weapons myself, and i am willing to share my models with you.

It's not finished yet, and there are still a lot of weapons that aren't done yet.

Some examples of my work:

Ak47 with m203 extension (to fire grenades):

Grenade launcher, replaces the grenade:

This image below represents the shell from the grenade launcher.

AR-10 half-auto sniper:

If you need any information regarding the models, or simply if you want to change the models, contact me.

Please reply. Thanks

-Greetz EXE-

well we are always looking for improvements, so when you get some stuff done, let us see it, and we will see about getting it in the mod and what we can do with it. we know some of the weapons we have still need some work, but as i posted before if anyone is willing to work on them and knows how to use maya to fix them a bit, i.e. grip, reload animations, ADS, etc we will be greatful for the help.

Very cool EXE.

FYI -- The modern weapons in eXtreme+ 2.4 are not replacing the old weapons. The modern weapons are build into an add-on, holding the weapon files, sounds and graphics; basically everything except the code (gsc files). Although you cannot mix old and new weapons in one game, the weapons co-exist in the code. This way, an admin can decide to play modern weapons whenever he wants.

The important message here: not a single modern weapon file is allowed to overwrite existing files... not a weapon file, sound, menu, (menu) image... nothing!

These are just suggestions for the animations etc., you CAN separate them from the old ones by replacing the modern weapons files in v2.4 and not replacing the original ones. Or by creating new weapon files that can be loaded into the game..

Sweet.

If your offer to share is still valid, and you have finished some or most of your modern weapons, please drop Gixxer a PM. He is in charge of the modern weapons program. We can't wait to see your weapons in action.
