Claymore Defusing Suggestion...
« on: June 17, 2008, 02:16:11 am »
This is in referral to the use of claymore defuse option in 2.0.  I've noticed many different scenarios where the claymore defusing has gotten in the way of normal play.

e.g. On S&D rounds; player sets claymore on bomb, and then attempts to set bomb; it will go to defusing mode instead of setting bomb.  Also, if player sets bomb, then places claymore on bomb, you cannot defuse bomb until the claymore is defused (or blown up, which blows your cover).
Picking up weapons, using mounted MG's, etc are also noted.

My suggestion would be to make it to which you have to be prone or crouching to defuse claymore.  (I think searching bodies is set this way)  This would avoid most conflicting actions in game and force players to go prone or crouch to defuse (which is more natural, IMO).

I simply love the option to defuse claymores and will continue to use it.  I just wanted to make a suggestion to it's implementation.

Thanks!

Was I supposed to get a PM?

Haven't seen anything in my inbox.  Or does PM stand for something else?

 :P
