hello from finland mod works well..

u guys are the best...

but one guestion how i install the modern weapons iwn or where..

one more thingy what i need when i open the eXtreme+24_QuickSetupGuide_EN it only messed up cant read it

It appears I had the same issue. So far (fingers crossed) the problem lay in the votemaps_gsc.

I set all the configs then went back and re-wrote the maps into the file. Tested the server after each of the first 5 customs were added and there were no issues.

As much of a pain in the ass it is to re do this page, it's easier than trying to search out my typo.

You might want to start there.

Just put the mw.iwd in your fs_game folder :)

The Quick Setup Guide is a PDF file, you need Adobe to read it

Just put the mw.iwd in your fs_game folder :)

hey is it modern weapon work on all custom maps ? beacause i have tried 6 maps and no modern weapons =( only the stock weapons..
am doing something wrong i but he mv.iwd but no...
plz.help

to use modern weapons you must also turn off ALL weapons for that map, so if you want a mix do it like so:

now i want to run modern weapons for that map so i do this

yes and still nothin and another error when people connecting to server

error.. Max ammo mismatch for "panzercshreck" ammo:
"panzercshreck_mp" set it to 4, but
"panzercshreck_allies" already set it to 6.

If I remember correctly, this was always a problem when people MIX weapons into eXtreme OR was a map problem.  I do not think it was ever an extreme mod problem

as Joker said, typicly a map that has built in weapons or a conflicting mod iwd in main, you have a few options, turn that weapon off for the problem map, edit your weapons file to make it match the ammo count, remove the conflicting map or other mod iwd from the main folder.

Hi all, and thanx to xtreme staff for they new release !!! It's a bomb !!!

My question :
In the file ex_votemap.gsc, for the playsize line, can i made 2 size, like this :
level.ex_maps[level.ex_maps.size-1].playsize = "medium large";

Or must i write just "all" in this case ???

Hi.

As we are going to use 2.4 for our sniper only server and we want to use the modern weapons, is there any reason why we cannot take out the additional weapons from the mw.iwd and just leave the sniper rifles in it?

It's OR, so either "small", "medium", "large" OR "all", but...

In large mode, "medium" and "small" maps are listed too. "large" maps will only be listed if the minimum number of players for large maps is on the server.

"medium" maps will only be listed if the minimum number of players for medium maps is on the server. In medium mode, "small" maps are listed too". Only "large" maps are omitted from the list.

Below the "medium" threshold set in mapcontrol.cfg you are in "small" mode. Only "small" maps will be listed.

If a map got the "all" tag, it will be listed no matter what. Even when this map is huge, and there are only 4 players on the server, it will be listed.

To avoid ending up with an empty vote list due to all the filtering, especially when using the vote memory too, the code has a safety mechanism. If there are no maps left after filtering, it will "size up" and do another run, meaning that "small" will become "medium", and "medium" will become "large". If there are still no maps after sizing up, the map vote memory check will be bypassed to include all maps available in your list.

Probably a longer answer than you hoped for, but at least you learned how it works now. LOL
