I guess the fact that your server won't start is a good reason.
You could get away with that by editing maps\mp\gametypes\_weapons.gsc, and delete all modern weapons you removed from the iwd from the weapons array too. By doing that, the server will not try to precache them.

lol - yep, that would be a really good reason.....

also note that the modern weapons DO NOT have LR ability, they do not seem to kill beyond about 235 yards, so if you are running them on a no cross sniper only map you might have a problem lol.

LR Rifle, exploding bullets.

Tried using the soundalias from the 2.3, it dont work lol.

you need the sound2 and the impacts.csv files

to use the LR weapons you must replace the 2 files from the optional LR download, all the weapons files and code for them to run are in the mod, but we do not include these files because they will make the Panzerschreck, Bazooka, and RPG not work properly, so please note, it is one or the other. we are adding them to the 2.4 download section for ease of finding them.

That is a real shame. No matter, maybe another day.

The enhancements made to the zoom on the normal rifles are superb anyway and I am going to love using them....

On a more positive note.... it will prevent me completely screwing up the mod by trying to reduce the size of the mw.iwd.... so every cloud has a silver lining I guess.

Great Mod, thx for all the hard work!!

I would like to know is there away to us another key to ZOOM in instead of the Shift key. I set our server up only using a LR rifle so i dont need the "M" key to switch between weapons.
 Is there someway to use "M" key to ZOOM?

it is basicly using the same code as cod4, and i don't think there is a way to use another button, at least it is not coded for it, but i think it has to be use/melee

I was switching through the different Zoom levels on each scope.

What I noticed was that some of the levels, make the target look very far away. How can make the magnification between each zoom closer together.

Is it in one of the CFG files or is it done in the weapon folder its self.

I looking at the weapon folder itself and saw this adsZoomInFrac 0.05 and adsZoomOutFrac 0.05

The 2.4 Mod has  9 different zoom levels, 9 being the greatest magnification. 1 being the lowest. What i noticed was when I unzoom from level 7 to level 6, the magnification of the scope is much less than one would have had when using the normal SR. The SR was set fov was set at 20 and the LR fov was set at 0.
 On our server i  am only using a LR with the zoom scope, with 4 different zoom levels.

Level 9 zoom is the  greatest level of magnification, what I would like to do is increase the magnification of levels 6 , 7 , 8 but not making it greater than level 9. When one unzooms from level 9 to level 8 its maginifcation looks like that of the SR. When unzooms to level 7 its magnification even looks less that the SR.

Is it possible change the magnification of each level of the scope?

Is it dont by changing a CFG file or is it done in weapon file of the scoped rifles?

ty we will look into it, the webley is not supposed to become a weapon on back, and we will look into the turrest bursting in SMG mode.

sorry, i missed about burst mode on SMG does good and not appliable to MG's,
but weapons on back actually has error, not even webley or other pistols, but other weapons too.

Fresh just discovered an error:

Through some period of time in the weapons menu disappears all the weapons, after many player has joining server, other players can't select weapons and join the game.
Weapon limiter is on, but interesting, i've not changed limiting quantity since v2.3

And many players noticed that ingame ping has increased from 36-48 to 48-57
How can I reduce the severity of the transferred or processed data to server (gamestate???) so as to improve ping? models limiting is enabled and lowered, all the logos (except _ex_clanlogo.gsc text) has been disabled, HUD elements like rank text ico is too disabled. Anyway ping is too high.
