rcon in a lan game ?

is there any way to get an rcon program (rcon max) to work on a lan server you start at home ?

in game start a server.

when you have the server running bring up the console and type /rcon_password yourpassword
yourpassword being the password you want to use.

once that is done , you can use an rcon program to connect, using the computers local i.p address
i tested it with CoD RconTool
