Redirect help
« on: February 19, 2009, 05:52:50 pm »
I am trying to install the X5 mod and i think i have it done correctly. My problem now is with the redirect. I am only getting a download speed of like 10 mb. Here is what i have on the redirect.
http://www.cod4modern-warfare.com/X5

set sv_allowdownload "1"
seta sv_wwwDownload "1"
seta sv_wwwBaseURL "http://www.cod4modern-warfare.com/X5
seta sv_wwwDlDisconnected "0"

Here is my cmd line.
+set fs_localAppData c:\games\8_12_68_140\722968\codww +set fs_game mods/X5 +set dedicated 2 +set net_ip 8.12.68.140 +set sv_maxclients 40 +set ui_maxclients 40 +set net_port 28930 +exec server.cfg +map_rotate

I rent the server from gameservers.com

With the above url this is where it is trying to download the files from at 10

I moved it but i get the same download speed. Now it is in:

http://www.cod4modern-warfare.com/mods/X5

And i changed the redirect url to:

set sv_allowdownload "1"
seta sv_wwwDownload "1"
seta sv_wwwBaseURL "http://www.cod4modern-warfare.com/mods/X5"
seta sv_wwwDlDisconnected "0"

I believe your file structure on your redirect should change

Try setting it up like this;

redirect = http://www.cod4modern-warfare.com/cod5/

Then underneath this directory you should have both a    mods/  and a usermaps/ directory

Parent Directory  (http://www.cod4modern-warfare.com/cod5/)
mods/
usermaps/

Now move all you mod folders, etc to the mods/ directory.

Update your config file, restart...

Shortly after my last post i figured it out. All i needed was http://www.cod4modern-warfare.com

Now it is up and running and all i need to do now is tweak the settings the way i like them. Thanks for your reply. The support here is much better then another site for a different mod i was on. Thanks.

I do have a few questions.

How do i make sure the Weapon mod which was in the optional folder is running? If i uploaded it along with the other files will it run automatically or do i need to add a line to my cmd line?

I also like to use rconMax. Are there any conflicts with running rconMax with X5?

Finaly, for now anyways. Does anyone have a good X5 hardcore config they could post?

The Companys weapons mod runs along with the rest of X5 just fine, just upload it and you are good to go

RconMax runs fine with X5 aswell
