Great job -RDX-Leftless1   :D

But for 5 alpha channel, you can just flatten image and save as .DDS
It's good if you have an transparent alpha channel.

Yes this is true Gorilla..but I prefer not to do it that way as once you flatten the image you can't edit the content any further. So, I thought it was best to teach it the way I did to minimize the frustration level and having to start all over again.

Joker I was just giving the tut a dry run. My son has been telling me from the start "your making it to big" and I just needed to see if he was correct. It looked fine on my screen (1600 x 1200) but after viewing it on a friends screen (1024 x 768) I think he may be right.? What do you think ???

After flatten and saving as .DDS, return to history and take a walk back to save as .PSD
But i'm understand when you say " So, I thought it was best to teach it the way" it's easy to learn  :D
Thanks for all  :D  :D

loved the tut.. at the end though don't we have to change the file extension to just .iwi and take out the other stuff the dds2iwi program adds on? or will it work that way?  I am new to the image editing stuff.. Sorry for the noob question.

The file automatically becomes an iwi once you put it through the converter, as long as the file name was correct going in it will be good to go.  When you convert back to iwi from dds the file name remains the same, no file renaming needed.

Hope I'm understanding your question correctly.  :D

Are you using the "dds2iwi-cod4.exe" converter ??
