NOOOP !! localAppData is for Windows.
Look at my first post to see a command line example.

Right,

Our Linux server was running custom maps no probs by using method above so thanks!!!

Since Linux 1.4 though they ust crash on the loadscreen, i have changed the mod folder name so that clients did not have the iwds in there mods folder when connecting and placed the iwds for the maps in the relative map folders on the game server and redirect. Also deleted my usermaps folder on my PC (and everyone else i have had connect).

Like i say though, when loading a custom map the game just crashes out just cant get this to work!

Anyone else having this trouble?

the 1.4 bins are still borked, its the same shit like with 1.3

on linux you still need to have the custom map iwd's in the modsfolder (so also on the redirect)
the workaround for custom maps is still the same

so nothing has changed for the linux bins except its now version 1.4, we have 3 new stock maps and some changed scriptfiles.

Yep after messing around all bloody evening trying to get it to work we put the iwds back in the mods folder and it works fine, what a waste of an evening!

The only thing that concerns me now is if clients visit a windows server download a map (so iwd is in the usermaps folder), and then come on our Linux server (iwds in mods folder) and play the same map they downloaded from the Windows server are they gonna have issues?

Im hoping the iwd in the usermaps folder will just be ignored as the server will not be requesting it, am i right in thinking that?

Hello, I have also x5v2.0 a Linux server, I run the custom maps not when I use the iwd in the mod folder is not set, and if the iwd in the custom map folder is located, it is also not, there are as an adjustment to make to do so it's going? Once I create a custom map will load, the server goes offline.

sofar no issues if the client has the iwd in both usermaps/custommap and the modsfolder....but note that i say sofar....dont know yet in the longrun

needless to say that for compatability (as in how files are handled) its screwed...2 different ways to install custommaps on the same server version....for all its worth we really just had a version number update.
