Greetings and thanks for these great eXtreme mods.

I have been patiently reading along through these threads hoping answers come about for certain problems I have with my CODWW X5 server. A vast majority of them have been answered, however I still have a few that noone else seems to have or at least has not posted about that I can find.

1: Forcecrouch on spawn does not apparently work on my server no matter whether it is set to 0 or 1.
2: We are unable to diffuse betties. I have set the percentages at each possibility and the betty always explodes when attempting to diffuse it. I have tried all three stances in various combinations as well. The timer and sound effects work fine though.
3: The range finder does not show up for any weapons regardless of the setting. I know this one works because when I went to Joker's test server it was working fine there. Is there something else outside of the configs to check?
4: All maps show up as "a custom map is next" when using the next map message on the bottom of the screen. I was able to get the map names to show with some editting including the new maps, but it still say a stock map is a custom map.
5: Invisible spawn protection ceases to work after a suicide.
6: When spawning at the beginning of a map in a parachute a player has a random chance of "dying in the call of Duty" or getting a "RIP" message. I tried heights from 2000-200 but it still occurs. After this whenever they spawn they are not invisible.
7: If two or more players on the same IP connect to our server one will always get stuck at the weapon class select screen and have to /reconnect. It seems to be first come, first serve with this. This occurs rarely for single connections, but it is constant with dual connections from the same IP.
8: The ability to change class while in the middle of playing seems to disappear. This has been talked about, but I cannot find a fix if it was given.
9: The ingame chat starts at the position set in the config file, but after hitting tab it moves back to it's standard spot. This was also talked about, but I have not seen a fix if it exists.

Extra info: We are using the z_tc5.iwd file that comes with the April 14th release with the only thing changed in it is the ability to reload in mid clip. I edited the parachute portion of the X5 mod as outlined in another post on this forum. No custom maps are in rotation yet to tamper. We are also using the X5 files gained from joining Joker's test server a couple weeks ago. The weapons loadout was left as "stock" in the weaponcontrol.cfg file. We do wish to limit certain things, but I wonder if this may cause some of our problems, so I have not touched it yet.

We are a tactical realism clan which attempts to have realistic weapons fire and realistic battle movements. This includes the ability to run from fire in the heat of battle. The X5 mod is the best tool I found to moderate this and help our admins be able to play instead of dealing with rule breakers all night. We also use X4 on our COD4 server, but we didn't start with it until December 2008 when all of the bugs seemed to have been dealt with. We have no problems with X4 and are looking forward to v3.  :wink:

I'm sorry if this post seems a bit much, but I wanted to get it all in one spot instead of spamming over and over. I have been noticing the slow down in posts for X5 support so I had to wonder was support waning or am I the only one not figuring out how to fix these quirks. So I took the plunge. No, support is not falling to the way side, unfortunately for most of the Crew, real life is kicking our a$$es at the moment.

Can you PM me your servers login info so I can take a look at the CFG files and some of the GSC files please?

MasterShake,

Mate, you are not alone.  We have similar issues mainly with the Class/Weapon select problem when connecting.  ie Not getting it at all and have to leave the game and rejoin.  Even then, it does not fix it sometimes.  Last night we found it happened consistentaly when running the custom map "Matmata - final".


Hang in there - I'm sure Joker and the guys are working on it.  Its the best mod imho so stick with it.

Oh hi Joker,

Must have been typing when you replied.

As i mentioned in the previous post, check out Matmata Final to easily reproduce the Select Weapons on join problem.

Well, I hope I didn't offend anyone.  :oops: I just ran out of options and time, so I decided to post. In no way was it meant to be like a "get ur butts in gear" type post. Being just the admin of a small 40 person clan with 3 servers is rough enough for me. I can't imagine the pressure from a whole community. Anyways, I'm getting offtopic. I PMed you the info Joker. And thanks again to you and the guys behind the scenes!  8)

Indeed it is the best mod for my clan as well. That is why we are looking forward to some final tweaks.  :lol:

Look in the forums for the V2 Release section bud, you will find the updated download there.

To update the download section as well would be redundant.

Just 1 problem: enemies don't display as a red dot when they shoot.  I tried adding:

I have posted a few times since then, but it seems that no one is going to address my problem.  As stated in an earlier post, "We had to go back to the Version1 of the X5 Mod.  We had no choice as players refused to play on our server if they could not see where the enemy was attacking them from.  I was just wondering if this problem with the enemy not being displayed while shooting, is just NOT a priority fix or not?
If not, we will just turn our server back to COD 4 and setup some mod on it.  I am not trying to be a pain, it is just been a long time since any reply was made to any of my posts.

If you dont like the support get another mod!

Joker and the guys have lots of work to do with all the different mods and also a life outside the modding.

I did not mean to be disrepectfull and I am using the xtreme mod, because its the best mod.
I realise this is all volonteerwork, but i get the impression that everything has been slowed down..

anyhow here a couple of questions:

-sniper mode with xtreme v2 => i get people who spawn at other side
-People who shoot should turn up on mini map, is this so?
-Loading time for weapons takes long... is this better now?
-The big bomb like COD4 X4, is this coming?
