Well, the PC version for MW2 has been delayed until November 24th. At first it sounded like a rumor, but then 402 (IW's community manager) confirmed it on his twitter.

I'm not seeing it on his Twitter, am I missing it?

Basically this announcement was posted on only 1 UK site that has more ad's then the Super Bowl.  No confirmation from IW or ATVI that I can find.  Those that I have spoken with at either company have denied this but did not want to go on record saying it.  RudeDog from FPSAdmin is working with ATVI in getting confirmatiion on it.

So far, the way I see it?  Rumor

402 via twitter:

No delay on PC for Modern Warfare 2. You'll also have Prestige Mode in PC as well as lots of Steam support. Hopefully min specs will be soon

BASH 123: Pwnt!
Written by jockyitch

Rob Bowling, community manager (Gamer / Geek / Creative Strategist at Infinity Ward...as he says on his Twitter page) at Infinity Ward was kind enough to join our panel on BASH today. He let us in on the news that IW was taking Modern Warfare in a new direction. The online game on PC has changed. Dedicated servers are out. IW.net is in.

This is a game changer and many of you may not be too happy. I for one will be willing to listen and try it out. It’s all I can do.

For the folks in our community that mod and map, the future does not look as bright as the past.

Thanks to Rob, {PST}*Joker from mycallofduty.com, Rudedog from fpsadmin.com, Garetjax from codtv.tv, Josh from Planetmedalofhonor.com, MatTks from @weplaycod (Twitter) and weplaycod.com, iBleedv20 at omnilinkit.com and the hordes in our chatroom and ventrilo.

X4v3.0!!!!!    :D

We run X4 2.0 atm and we WILL be running x4 3.0 once it is released.

The problem is that you can only play a game for so long before it comes stale, no disrespect to modders they do an excellent job and we would not have cod4 on our server at this moment in time if it wasnt for mods. As stock the games get stale after a couple of months. With the customization that comes with mods it makes the games so much more playable for much longer, however like i said you can only play them for so long before you want something new.

I know that not everyone would agree with that as there are still cod:uo and cod2 servers going strong and well done and good luck to them but my own personal preference is that i like a new game with new mods every so often. MW2 has ruled this out, hopefully the next cod game Treyarch do will not follow suit and i can get back to the game i love playing/mapping and modding (the last two being something im not great at but still love doing lol) sometime in the future.
