Sniper Rifles NO SWAY

I will create an CoDWW Sniper only mod and i will have no sway in the weapons. Now my question: Where can I change that ?

No you can't change this stuff without the raw files..

The mod.ff is there so people can't steal the modders stuff..

In the CoD2 mod is easy to change..

CoD4 is a little bit harder but yep you can change them because there are raw files released for the X4 mod..

I hope they will release also the raw files for X5.. :?

What does that no sway mean?

To make your sniper rifles not sway when scoped you need to open the .IWD with pakscape or winrar

Drag out the sniper rifle weapon files to your Desktop

Open them in some kind of notepad program like NotepadC++

Now look for the value adsIdleAmount\40\ and change the 40 to 0

Save -- then put back into your IWD and Save again

Upload to the server and redirect.  Start your server, and go in to test your rifles

I have again a question  :oops:

How can I change the scope ? I have a DDS file but how must I call it that I can change it ?

And I'm using the weapon.cfg from this post here now. But how can I get more ammo in the weapons ? any ideas ? i know that you have one   Coz you are GREAT !!

We are talking COD4 right?  I believe so............

New Scopes -- for ALL sniper rifles.

You need an IWItoDDS.exe convertor and convert your DDS to IWI
Then rename your new IWI to scope_overlay_m40a3_1024#0.iwi -- Put that new file into your mods IWD

If you want separate scopes for each rifle, that is a bit more indepth and required the ModTools and Asset Manager to create new materials files

AMMO --

Open the weapon file you want to change the ammo to -- find these values:
\maxAmmo\200
\startAmmo\200
\clipSize\10\

Change the values to what you want, save the file, put back into your IWD like we did before.

Always upload to server and redirect, and restart the server
