How many still to wait you inform please. We already were tired to watch news every day. Or put an incomplete beta version to public.

One person is working on it, so why can't people be patient. If it wasn't for pat there wouldn't even be a new release.

I totaslly agree with MissV
Please understand that this project is NOT a full time job but worked on when time allows in ones busy work and personal life. It's a hobby. Pat doesn't get paid for this.
Patience isn't not a virtue of a lot of readers here but please understand that no amount of "gimme gimme gimme" will make the finished product appear any faster. No unfinished beta will be released just to satisfy those who bitch about "where is it"......

When there is something news worthy about this beta I'm sure it will be posted but not until then. Quality takes time and no amount of pressure can change that....OR would you just like Pat to quit and be done with all the hassle?????

Patience Grasshopper....patience.........

Don't bite my head off now Gomer ;)

Would it be possible to have somekinda newsletter signup for eXtreme+ releases? It would really be neat not needing to check in here every a few days.

Btw, Is this server really using the final 2.7, if it is one yet? http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/66.150.214.131:28960/

Simen, Simen, Simen.....now WHY would I bite your head off?????   lol
Just think of your request this way. SOMEONE would have to DO a newletter which, like everything else, takes time. Just think of this thread as a newsletter because you can check the box "Notify me when a reply is posted" and whala....you get an email, like I just did, telling me there was a post on this thread.... This way you don't have to check every few days..... Just look for an email.... :D  :D  :D
Remember....people have lives outside eXtreme and sometimes IMPORTANT things come first.....
Hang in there folks....  Good Things come to those who are patient..... :wink:  :wink:  :wink:

Thanks Gomer and MissV for useful info :)

My idea about a newsletter is, have some random online newsletter page. Signup for being admin over a newsletter on it. Publish link here for people to signup to it. Then just publish some news on the newsletter when you have some news :D

If doing the subcription to topic or forum category. I would get email about every little post probably, which isen't preferable..

Hopefully Patmansan will consider it ;) If not.. It's cool aswell. Just an idea i had.

The retreat monitor has been added to v2.7. For efficiency it has not been implemented as player based threads, but as one level thread. It serves CTF, CTFB and RBCTF. Above code has not been used, but I want to thank ODAWA for the inspiration.

This is what is in gametypes.cfg right now:

// Retreat monitor (CTF, CTFB and RBCTF)
// If enabled, players will be warned to retreat when their team has both flags,
// either when own flag is on base and carrying enemy flag or when carrying both
// flags. Warnings will be issued when in warning range, and only 3 times until
// the flag status changes.
// Use 1, 2, *or* 4 for on screen message only. Combine 1+8, 2+8 *or* 4+8 for on
// screen message and sound. Add 16 to include warnings for the flag carrier(s).
// If you want a top screen message, an audible warning, and a message for the
// flag carrier, you add up the numbers 4, 8 and 16, so you need to set 28.
//   0 = disabled (default)
//   1 = show message above compass
//   2 = show message center screen
//   4 = show message top screen using a HUD element
//   8 = audible warning
//  16 = also warn flag carrier to bring in flag
// --- +
// ... = retreat level
//
set ex_flag_retreat "28"

I just noticed that option 1 is the same as option 2 on trips. I can't get them to do damage to teammates. It blows the trip but no damage. I remember option 1 being dm style.

// set tripwire options
// 0 = disabled (default)
// 1 = enabled
// 2 = enabled - don't count teamkills
// 3 = enabled - don't trigger on teammates
set ex_tripwire "1"
