Here's something I've been working on to help players distinguish between Long Range and Short Range Weapons on sniper servers. There is a hud message when ADS that says "Longe Range" or "Short Range" weapon. I also coded in a message for the short range weapon that tells the player when the maximum distance has been exceeded when firing. It works pretty good except when firing the weapon, if the rangefinder jumps past the exceeded limit because of the recoil, it prompts the "Out of Range" message. Not much of an issue because it still gets the message across that the weapon you are using is only "Short Range"! All suggestions are welcome, please post!
