Web site question
« on: July 30, 2007, 08:41:13 am »
Is it just me?

I can't seem to see new posts.  I'm talking about them being high lighted or colored...

Using IE6 at work.

Using IE7 at home and I get odd results as well.

Secondly I use the "view posts since last visit" and no search results are displayed.

thanks

All New posts should have a "New" or "White square" Icon aswell as the Title line in blue

I will do some more checking when I get to work, any digging I do now will not be very good as I have been all over this site with this computer.  But at work, I will have a fresh computer to check with ((No cookies or offline files to corrupt data with))

IE6 at work notes:

on this thread I had no indication you replied.

on this thread (Great new eXtreme+ site) I see a red indication = new post/reply.

when I first came into the site a few minutes ago, a couple of forum categories indicated new postings.  went in to reply to this thread.  returned to main index and those cats are no longer indicating new post.

no trouble Joker, just making some notes on odd forum stuff.  in time hopefully these will get looked at and hopefully I'm not being a pest.

too weird.

off topic: congrates on the codutility position too  8)

I believe it's an inherent issue with Nuke forums. Issue also occurs in Opera, Safari, and Firefox. (I have a Mac and a Windows machine...)

No worries richman, I greatly appreciate your observations and I mean that.

The whole Nuke thing is new to me ;) so I make changes or experiment or research on a Test Site first -- if it works, I move it over to here.

Currently working on some rescriptting of the phpbb2 forums here to add the ability to Attach Files to your posts

And thanks for the Congrats :)

I admit, we definately need better graphic indicators on New Posts, Old Posts, etc, etc, etc.  But I'm not a graphic guy *shrugs*

Unless someone wants to take a stab at this -- Save all the little images, recolor them or whatever, and post here for everyone to see?

Would be cool :)

phpbb support will not, or at least say they will not, support phpnuke having phpbb as a module.  I suppose if you're any good with php code you could rip it apart and use it. :?

good phpnuke support sites:
http://www.nukeresources.com/
http://www.nukeforums.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=23

these sites will have resource sites listed as well. :D

Mr. Joker Sir,

Love the PHP Nuke grid you've got going here.  Did you write it or did you manipulate a stock theme?  Our NPWG forum leaves much to be desired and I'm thinkin about upgrading.  Do you have a link for the core theme applied here?

Thanks for your time.  :D

Cheers,

Jim
